As I prepare for a trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin to celebrate turkey day with Bill’s family (we leave tomorrow!), I thought I would share some Thanksgiving outfit ideas that inspired my packing list for this trip. In my experience some people get super dressed up for Thanksgiving and others keep it casual. I definitely lean towards the latter, but I think both outfits can be either dressed up or down depending on what you pair with them. In addition to being versatile, a bunch of the pieces in this post are currently on sale – helloooo 40% off at J.Crew through 11/26!
Outfit No. 1 Details:
I love outfit No. 1 because it’s a little bit dressier, but you could easily swap the heels for flats or low booties to make it more casual. Although I won’t be wearing this full look for Thanksgiving (I’m opting for the cozy, more casual option below due to some chilly Wisconsin temps), I definitely packed pieces of this outfit for my trip. I never travel without a good denim shirt and this suede jacket has been my go-to for dinners and nights out this season.
Outfit No. 2 Details:
This look is a bit more casual and I’m loving it. I have been wearing this sweater on repeat and I plan on continuing that trend by wearing it for Thanksgiving. Not only is this one of the coziest sweaters I own, but it’s flattering, warm and I love the black and camel stripes. I might swap out these heeled boots for my L.L. Bean or Hunter boots, but overall I’m definitely feeling the jeans and sweater vibes for this year’s Thanksgiving celebrations.
What are you wearing this Thanksgiving? I would love to hear all of your Thanksgiving outfit ideas!
