How to Wear Monochrome this Fall

Navy is by far my favorite color to wear, so when I realized I had so many fall-perfect pieces in the same hue, I decided to put them all together to create a monochrome look. I’ve been seeing more and more of the monochrome trend recently, and I definitely don’t hate it. I think that wearing the same color across an entire outfit is figuring flattering and very chic.

This navy J.Crew sweater is one of my favorites for fall. I love the bell sleeve and how it’s a bit longer in the back. It’s the perfect length for a slight front tuck, which is how I styled it here. I already have my eye on this sweater in violet, ivory and cranberry colors that it comes in. I’m not kidding when I say I kind of want to buy all of them…

To add to the monochrome look, I paired my navy J.Crew sweater with a pair of J.Crew Factory pants and Sam Edelman heels in the same hue. I love how each piece is a slightly different shade and texture, but somehow together they all come together. I think the most important part of styling a monochrome look is to embrace different textures and silhouettes so each piece stands out.
