Monochrome with J.McLaughlin

If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that I love nothing more than a good monochrome outfit. I’ve pulled together a bunch of all-one-color looks over the years, but this one is a first for me — brown! It’s a color I’ve really been loving this season, so when J.McLaughlin reached out about working together on a fall look I knew I wanted to incorporate it.

Originally I thought I’d pick out one or two of J.McLaughlin’s gorgeous brown pieces, but as I started to create the look I wanted to keep adding more. Eventually, it turned into a full monochrome look!

OUTFIT DETAILS

I’ve said it before, but when styling a monochrome outfit you have to incorporate different fabrics, textures and prints! It gives the outfit dimension and makes it more interesting. Luckily, J.McLaughlin had plenty of options when it came to turtlenecks, cardigans, pants and boots. Here’s what I’m wearing:

Payton Cardigan in Brown — the star and absolute coziest part of this outfit! This cardigan is so warm (like really warm) it feels like you’re wearing a luxurious blanket. This piece is also very versatile, which is theme I noticed across many of J.McLaughlin’s styles. Although I love it as part of this monochrome look, I also really like it paired with jeans and a t-shirt. Bonus, it’s included in J.McLaughlin’s Cyber Week sale. Shop it over 50% off here. I’m wearing a medium!

Arlette Turtleneck in Heather Brown — this is one of my favorite parts of the entire outfit. This turtleneck is sturdy, flattering and very high quality. It’s a piece that I will wear again and again throughout the fall and winter months and for years to come. I’m wearing a medium!

Carter Pants in Brown — these pants are incredible, no joke. Although they look structured and put together, they’re actually a combination of Rayon, Nylon and Spandex, making them extremely comfortable. These pants are also great to have in your closet around the holidays. Particularly this year when many of us are staying home and maybe want to look nice but be comfortable too. I also look forward to wearing these to the office when I go back next fall! They run TTS.

Aida Leather Ankle Boots in Snake — last but not least, the snake booties! I am a huge fan of this print. Snake print can be tricky sometimes, but these are very chic. They run TTS, are the perfect heel height (2.25 inches) and can pretty much be worn as a neutral. At least I plan on wearing them as a neutral 😂

All in all, these pieces are great. I truly can vouch for the quality, and I love how they come together to create a chic and comfortable monochrome fall look.
