The Easiest Blood Orange Margarita Ever

I’m very excited about this post because it’s part of a series with three other bloggers to feature one ingredient four ways. Our ingredient of choice? Blood oranges.

It’s currently the perfect season for blood orange cocktails. Why you ask? Most varieties of the fruit are available December-May and their pink/red juice makes them ideal for Valentine’s Day cocktails 💘

Below you’ll find my recipe for the easiest blood orange margarita ever, but be sure to check out Claire’s blood orange vodka spritzer, Lauren’s blood orange bourbon smash and Monica’s blood orange gin cocktail for multiple ways to mix up this versatile ingredient!

Easiest Blood Orange Margarita Ever

  • 1.5 oz Silver Tequila (I love Espolon for margaritas, add 2 oz if you're really feeling it )
  • 3 oz Ripe Agave Margarita Fresh Lime Sour (I get this at Whole Foods (photo below) and it makes margaritas so easy!)
  • 1.5 oz Fresh Blood Orange Juice
  1. Add tequila, Ripe Agave Margarita Fresh Lime Sour and fresh blood orange juice to a shaker without ice

  2. Salt the rim of a glass and fill the glass with ice

  3. Shake tequila, Ripe Agave Margarita Fresh Lime Sour and fresh blood orange juice and pour into glass over ice

  4. Garnish with fresh slice of blood orange
