Three Bathing Suits I’m Loving + A Few Cute Cover-ups

I was recently sharing some bathing suit recommendations with a follower and she inspired me to do a full post on my favorites. I don’t find bathing suit shopping to be fun or easy. In fact, as someone with a larger chest, I think it’s  difficult to find cute, yet supportive and flattering, bathing suits.

Over the last few years I’ve made it a goal of mine to find some bathing suits that I truly love, and I’m happy I can now share these recommendations with all of you! Whether you have larger chest or not, the bathing suits I’ve rounded up below come from brands that I’ve found to produce high quality pieces, with great fit, style and support.

LA BLANCA ISLAND GODDESS ONE-PIECE SWIMSUIT

My mom ordered me this scoop neck suit two years ago (she has a good eye for things that will fit me well) and I’ve been wearing it nonstop ever since. I have it in black and should really order it in another color this year. The straps are adjustable and the there is a built in bra top with removable soft cups.

This bathing suit is so supportive and very flattering due to the shirring through the waist. For BBQs and pool parties I wear this suit with just my white denim skirt over it and it looks so cute. If you’re going to buy one bathing suit this year I highly recommend this one. Runs TTS.

BODEN VALENCIA SWIMSUIT

EmilyLucille_BathingSuits

I was gifted this suit by Boden as part of my ongoing partnership with them and it’s literally introduced me to a whole new line of swimsuits. I received a bunch of questions about this suit when I posted it on Instagram stories, and a couple of you have purchased and told me how much you love it! Between the color, the deep V-neck and the body sculpting support lining in the front and back/ruching, this baby couldn’t be more perfect!

It comes in a few more colors, and for the quality of the fabric you absolutely can’t beat the price. It’s currently $49! I would say this suit runs TTS.

J.CREW ONE-SHOULDER PIQUE NYLON BIKINI TOP WITH RICKRACK & LOWRIDER PIQUE NYLON BIKINI BOTTOM WITH RICKRACK

EmilyLucille_BathingSuits

Both pieces are 50% off today! I ordered this suit in navy early in the season and it’s so cute. Both the one-shoulder top and these bikini bottoms offer great coverage. Similar to the suit above this is a fun one to wear with a denim skirt to a pool party!

I find that one-shoulder tops can be very flattering and this suit is no exception! I have many, many bathing suits from J.Crew and most have lasted me multiple summers. I find that for the cost the quality is great.

Full disclosure J.Crew is just a brand that just fits my body well. I know this might not be the same for everyone (we all have our favorites), but I recommend trying a few different styles until you find one that works for you. It took me a while, but now I know what bathing suits by J.Crew will work for my body type and which ones will not.

Most of their string bikini tops and their low-back one pieces do not work for me, but I’ve found that the one-should or off-the-shoulder one-pieces and bikini tops are actually quite flattering and supportive.

COVER-UPS

I’ve picked up a few cute cover-ups this summer (like this J.Crew leopard one), so below I’m sharing some of my favorites along with a couple I have my eye on!
