As much as I love a good heel, I am a big fan of a great summer sandal. From dresses to shorts they go with everything and help to create that low key, not-trying-so-hard look that everyone loves this time of year. Whenever I pack for a long weekend at the beach or for our pretty-much-annual trip to Lake Wissota in Wisconsin (most of Bill’s family lives in Minnesota and Wisconsin so we usually make our way out there for some lake time in the summer) I only pack flat sandals.
Some of favorites from this year (and every year) are my Jack Rogers! I always buy them in the platinum color because I find that shade goes well with both gold and silver jewelry (Hi, I’m OCD). This year was big for me because it was finally time to get a new pair. If you’re familiar with Jack Rogers you know that they last forever — I had mine for probably five years before they broke at the end of last summer. Recently, I’ve been obsessing over the white pair and plan to add them to my closet soon!
Some other sandals I am loving this summer are these black and white striped beauties by Splendid and these classic Steven by Steve Madden slides (both pictured below!) I’ve been wearing both a ton because they are 1. so comfortable and 2. versatile AF. If your clothes are pretty much all navy blue and white like mine both of these sandals would be a great addition to your closet.
Another fun pair of sandals I picked up this summer are these leopard slides by J.Crew. They come in a ton of different colors (white, black, blue & red, to name a few) and all of them are currently on sale. I can’t lie, these were pretty uncomfortable at first but once you break them in they aren’t too bad.
