Four of my Favorite Hand Sanitizer Brands

Hand Sanitizer Emily Lucille Touchland Power Mist Jao Refresher

This posts is so #2020 it hurts. I never thought I’d be writing about my favorite hand sanitizer brands, but here we are…

I don’t know about any of you guys, but recently all of the hand sanitizer I’ve found smells like tequila. No seriously, if I’m in a pinch and just grab some at the grocery store, 9/10 times I can barely use it because of the smell. I don’t know if it’s because brands are producing it quickly and in mass quantities to keep up with demand, but I’m not here for it.

Because of this, I recently took matters into my own hands (lol) and set out to find some options that smell better and still offer great protection. Here’s what I found…

TOUCHLAND POWER MIST

I came across Touchland on Instagram, and I’m not going to lie the packaging totally reeled me in. I’m a total sucker for good branding 😜 Anyway, while that initially grabbed my attention, I came to find out that there were more benefits to this hand sanitizer than what meets the eye.

Each hand sanitizer contains 500+ spritzes, are TSA friendly and work to keep your hands moisturized. Touchland is a female-led brand, shares all of their ingredients directly on their website and dedicates 5% of their profits to sending sanitizing hygiene solutions to developing countries.

I personally prefer hand sanitizer sprays to traditional gels, so this product is something I really love. I have the Power Mist Neutral (fragrance-free) which does not smell like tequila at all 😂 Shop it below along with some of their other scented options:

JAO BRAND REFRESHER

This new-to-me brand and product has become a fast favorite. The Jao Refresher is a multipurpose, instant disinfectant. Although I primarily use this product as a hand sanitizer, the Jao Brand website says it’s not just for hands, and can be used as a zit zapper, aftershave, face toner, body splash and more.

The Jao Refresher is made without parabens, sulphates, PEG, propylene glycol, TEA, DEA, phthalates, mineral oil, silicones or synthetic fragrance. Personally, I love the scent. Per the ingredients, they use a blend Lavender, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Geranium and Sage essential oils which gives it somewhat of a spa-like scent. I have the 4 oz option because it’s in a spray bottle and that’s what I prefer. Shop it in a few sizes below:

EO ESSENTIAL OILS HAND SANITIZER SPRAY

While the first two hand sanitizers aren’t readily available in stores, I have been easily able to find EO Hand Sanitizer Spray at Whole Foods. It’s available online too (I’ll share some links below), but it sells out quick!

When creating their products, EO focuses choosing safe, natural, organic, and sustainably-farmed ingredients. They list their product’s ingredients on their website. Again, I prefer a spray hand sanitizer to a gel, and I really love the EO lavender and peppermint scents. Shop what I could find in-stock online below, or keep an eye out the next time you’re at Whole Foods:

MEGABABE SQUEAKY CLEAN HAND SANITIZER

Last but certainly not least — Megababe Squeaky Clean Hand Sanitizer. I have been a Megababe fan for years (I use their natural deodorant), so I was very excited when they came out with this product.

This hand sanitizer is free of synthetic fragrance, parabens, phthalates and sulfates, but smells GREAT due to the the bergamot and orange essential oils that are included in the ingredients. Although I typically prefer sprays, I like leaving this one on my kitchen counter next to my regular hand soap increase I ever need to sanitize quickly. Shop below:

Do you have a favorite hand sanitizer? Let me know about it in the comments so I can check it out!
