I am 100% here for the hair accessories trend that’s been happening over the last couple of months. I know they aren’t for everyone, but for me they are a really fun way to switch up my day-to-day outfits.
At this point I’m pretty sure I’ve every trend out there, but I keep coming back to headbands, barrettes, bows and silk scarves. Below I’m sharing photos of how I personally styled these hair accessories along with some of my top picks to shop in case you’re looking to try some of them out for yourself!
HEADBANDS
Headbands are by far my favorite hair accessory. I picked up a few towards the end of 2018, and I’ve been wearing them nonstop ever since. Right now my favorite headbands are by Lele Sadoughi. I love knot at the top (see my blue headband below), and I look forward to picking up more colors and styles.
Barrettes
Barrettes are the newest hair accessory trend that I’ve tested out. I saw a few people post faux pearl barrettes on Instagram and I knew I needed to get a few for myself. The one I’m wearing below is under $10 on Amazon!
Bows
Not the newest trend, but one that never disappoints! I think bows are a great way to spice up a ponytail. Bows are my go-to for when I don’t want to wash my hair (lol) but still want it to look cute. Easiest hair styling hack in the book!
Silk Scarves
Again, not a super new trend, but one that is very versatile. I shared how I wear hair scarves on emilylucille.com in this post from 2017, but I want to start testing out new styles. I have a Pinterest board full of silk scarf hair inspo that I want to try, so stay tuned! The hair scarf I’m wearing below is old from Madewell, but I just picked up this leopard silk scarf from J.Crew and I love it.
