Let me preface this by saying that I ordered a bunch stuff in preparation for this blog post. I am very hard to please when it comes to vacation style (aka bathing suits, cover ups, etc.), and what I’m, sharing below is everything that made the cut.
One thing I tried to focus on when working on this post was finding classic pieces that could be worn multiple ways. You’ll be familiar with the color palatte — lots of blue, white, black and leopard print (yes it’s a neutral), but there are a few surprise pink pieces in there as well. Not sure why I am loving pink lately but here we are…

BATHING SUITS
In the past I’ve had a hard time shopping for bathing suits as I have a larger chest, but over the last couple of years I’ve found a few brands which I truly love when it comes to swim! I talked in depth about some of my favorite brands in this blog post from last year, and today I still feel the same way about all of them today. Below you’ll find suits from J.Crew, Boden (pictured above on the right), Summersalt (leopard suit in the left photo — my new favorite) and La Blanca.
I personally own all of the bathing suits below and can vouch they are all flattering, supportive (if you’re concerned about chest support so am I and these are the real deal) and comfortable. If you’re looking for a bargain suit — the Shein black one piece is $13!
COVER UPS
To me, cover ups include sarongs, dresses, denim shorts, white linen button downs, etc. etc. Like the category above, I personally own all of the pieces below. Many of them are versatile (except maybe the two pink ones 🤣) and can be paired with hundreds of different bathing suits.
Denim shorts were one of the harder vacation style pieces for me to find, but after some searching I can honestly say that the under $60 pair below from Abercrombie are great.
SANDALS (AND A PAIR OF ESPADRILLES)
I haven’t ordered a ton of flat sandals this year (did re-buy my favorite Steven ones from last year), but I have ordered a few heeled pairs that I can’t wait to wear out to dinner on vacation and at bachelorette parties this summer.
I’ve also included my favorite pair of espadrilles that I picked up last year — easily my most worn shoe from spring/summer 2019! They sold out quick last year so now’s the time to order (they are included in the Shopbop sale)!
ACCESSORIES
Below you’ll find my favorite vacation tote (pictured above), straw bags, headbands, sunglasses and hats! I am huge Hat Attack fan and most pretty much all of my straw bags and hats are by them (including the two pictured above)!
